Our fabulous grounds enable us to offer our younger children Forest School. Short focused sessions are also offered to the older classes. Forest school allows children to learn through practical experience. The children have time to explore their environment learning how to work co-operatively together. Language skills are readily developed as children explore and discover new things
We believe that Forest School has a special place in children's learning creating a positive impact that is carried through to all areas of the curriculum.

Spring Term 2022

March 2021 - Kingfishers have been enjoying making their own bows and arrows in Forest School. 

March 2021 - Avocets class were learning how to whittle wood during their Forest School lesson today and enjoying some spring sunshine.

Information about ticks

Our children have a lot of fun exploring the different habitats in Forest School. This includes running through long grass. Occasionally children may pick up a tick from the long grass . The information below tells you what to look for and how to deal with them.

To prevent this happening we ask that children wear clothing that covers their arms and legs during the Forest School sessions
