At St Germans School, our intent in History is to give children opportunities to develop their knowledge and understanding of the past. We believe that it is important for children to understand how the past influences our lives today and the impact of historical events.  We believe history stimulates pupil’s curiosity about Britain and the wider world. History also provides stimulation for writing, drama, work with artefacts and opportunities for children to research, find and consider evidence and reach their own conclusions.
